The Greek government has officially announced that the processing of the “E-charter Permission Application” for sea voyages, commercial operations, private use, international travel, and empty voyages is now being conducted electronically.

It is mandatory for yachts present in Greek waters to possess the e-charter Permission document, which must be available in either digital or printed format.

The e-charter permission application is applicable to yachts that are over 35 meters in length and has a license duration of a maximum of 28 days.

There are two types of permissions available:

• Charter Permission: This is for a complete charter contract that is carried out entirely within Greek territory.
• Charter Permission Plus: This is for the execution of a complete charter contract with a starting or ending point within Greek territory.
