FORGETTING TO EXPORT YOUR YACHT BEFORE LEAVING THE EUROPEAN UNION CAN HAVE CONSEQUENCES !

Jul. 28, 2021 |  Customs & Tax - Blog -

If you are thinking of leaving the European Union (EU) with your yacht, do not forget to check whether you must file an exportation declaration beforehand.

Any non-EU yacht released for free circulation or formally imported in the European Union (even if many years ago) must, when she decides to leave the EU waters, file a formal exportation declaration.

This year, temporary exportation is particularly important for UK flagged yachts because of the Brexit. These formalities might not have been mandatory in the past, but they are now if you want to benefit from the returned goods relief importation in the future.

YMCA assists you filing these exportation declarations (temporary or permanent) from France.
