French decree (issued by the Préfecture Maritime de la Méditerranée) from November 2nd 2020 prohibits most nautical activities, including pleasure vessels, from navigating in French waters.

However, the Préfecture Maritime de la Méditerranée (French local authority regulating the activities in the Mediterranean) has recognized that these restrictions were not applicable to yachts.

Indeed, the Préfecture clearly states that given yachts do not fall into the “pleasure vessel” category, they are not subject to the restrictions laid down in the decree stated above.
